Smithtown IAB is very proud to present Mrs. Lenore Paprocky of Synergy Wealth Strategies as our Member Spotlight for Winter 2021. Lenore has been active in our local community for more than 14 years, working closely with the Smithtown Industry Advisory Board (Smithtown IAB) and our surrounding Chambers. She was the Director of Sales at Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook for almost 10 years, and over that time worked with Stony Brook University, Suffolk Community College, and our own Smithtown schools, offering shadowing and internship opportunities to many of our students. She holds an Honorary PhD from the Smithtown School of Business. Lenore was also honored by Suffolk County Community College and presented with the New York State Cooperative Experiential Education Award (NYSCEEA) for her support with hands-on education and mentoring programs.
In May 2019, Lenore Paprocky began her current role as Director of Business Development with Synergy Wealth Strategies, located on East Main Street in Smithtown. She is no stranger to Business Development, having spent over 25 years in sales and marketing management positions, which taught her the importance of business relationships. In her newest role, she works closely with the financial team of Synergy Wealth Strategies to uncover innovative ways to build company awareness and increase their potential client base. Synergy Wealth Strategies is a valuable partner of the Smithtown IAB and works closely with our students on many projects including the Holiday Adopt a Family and Business Olympics.
In January 2020, Lenore took the helm at the Greater Middle Country Chamber of Commerce as their newly elected President. She has been an influential business leader & tireless volunteer with many Long Island organizations. We are very proud to say that Lenore was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business on Long Island and was honored as the Chamber Member of the Year from Middle Country Chamber and was awarded LIBN Corporate Citizen of the Year.
Ms. Paprocky’s continued support and participation with Smithtown Industry Advisory Board throughout the years earned her the appointment of Co-Chair in 2018. She continues to work closely with the Smithtown IAB and is a cheerleader for our organization. She tirelessly recruits members and seeks experiences for our Smithtown students. During the pandemic and while Smithtown Schools was on hybrid schedules, Lenore, along with many other members of the business community, participated in our first-ever virtual Business Olympics, which was a tremendous success. She also works with the Self-Study committee for Smithtown High Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum.
As the Business Chairperson of the Smithtown IAB, Lenore continues to offer her input and works closely with Mary Pat Grafstein, Executive Director of IAB, to help ensure that Smithtown Industry Advisory Board stays active, viable and an important part of the Smithtown Community. She works with the Self-Study committee for Smithtown High Schools’ Career and Technical Education (CTE) curriculum. Lenore is a very valued member of the Smithtown IAB & we thank her for her many contributions of time and advice over the years!
